Zithromax
Zithromax (Azithromycin)
Zithromax - bacteriostatic broad-spectrum antibiotic of the macrolide-azolide group. It suppresses RNA-dependent protein synthesis of sensitive microorganisms. The medicine is active against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes (Group A) and other streptococci.
Zithromax (or azithromycin) should be used to treat or prevent infections that are suspected to be caused by bacteria. It is also used to treat various sexually transmitted diseases (clamidiosis, gonorrhea, chancroid, gardnerellosis, ureamycoplasmosis, bacterial prostatitis, gonorrheal urethritis and cervicitis). The principle of action is to stop the bacteria growth. Zithromax provides efficient multi-infection treatment.
Indications:
Infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to azithromycin, including bronchitis, pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections, otitis media, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and gonorrheal and ungonorrheal urethritis or cervicitis, Lyme disease (borreliosis).
